The Meany Center for the Performing Arts and Meany Hall house multiple performance venues as well as the Department of Dance and the School of Music.
The Katharyn Alvord Gerlich Theater and the Studio Theatre are home to year-round performances from UW Dance, Music, Drama, DXARTS and major visiting artists. These facilities are managed by the Meany Center for the Performing Arts.
Meany Hall—Katharyn Alvord Gerlich Theater
The Katharyn Alvord Gerlich Theater, known until recently as Meany Theater, is one of Seattle's acoustic treasures and the primary stage for Meany Center performances.
Meany Hall—Studio Theatre
Located on the lower level of Meany Hall for the Performing Arts on the UW Campus, the Studio Theatre is a black box theater that seats 238.
Meany Hall—Studio 267
The Department of Dance maintains and manages a dynamic and intimate black box performance space in “Studio 267”. This space is used throughout the year as a teaching and learning space but can be transformed into an impressive showcase location where groups like the Dance Student Association stage smaller performances. Contact the Department of Dance regarding use of the Studio 267 Black Box venue.
