Biography

[choosing his dancers] I look for people that have information that I don’t have, different ways of moving, different vocabularies in their bodies that I can draw from and be inspired by. – Doug Varone

Born New York City, November 5, 1956.
Doug Varone became a member of the José Limón Dance Company in 1978 and the following year joined the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company.
