James Morford

James B. Morford holds a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology with a focus on social issues related to music and dance in the Republic of Guinea and its diasporas. He has published scholarly works in the fields of ethnomusicology, community music, and music education. His current research interests include rhythmic modeling and analysis, evolutionary change in participatory musics, and ideological sound manipulation in media reporting.
