Majors in Dance and Psychology
At the University of Washington, I made every effort to be as involved as I could in order to give back graciously to this amazing university. During my four years, I lived in the Greek Community as a Delta Zeta. During my time here I held many positions along with two executive positions which include VP of Academics and VP of Philanthropy. The first three years of my time at UW was filled with the Husky Marching Band. I played the trumpet in a massive band conducted by Dr. Brad McDavid. We performed throughout football games and it was a blast! We even got to go on away trips and bowl games (Peach Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and Rose Bowl). During my senior year, I auditioned and was honored to make the UW Spirit/Dance Team with my sister who is a freshman. We performed at football games, volleyball games and basketball games along with away trips for football games and bowl games (Fiesta Bowl). Altogether, I performed in 39 football games over the past four years and over 35 basketball game in one year.
I loved performing over the past four years to people who had never come to a game along with fans who came to every game. Making people feel the Husky Fever is something that will stick with me forever. It was also an amazing experience to cheer next to my sister this past year. She is an amazing person and I can’t wait to watch her next year on UW Spirit.
I loved my time at the University of Washington because of the tremendous opportunities that are life changing. Without all of these experiences, people/friends and professors that I met along the way, I wouldn’t be the person I am today! I can’t wait to give back to the programs at UW that I was involved in so that other people have opportunities that I did!
Favorite Moment at the UW
One of my favorite memories was the Apple Cup this past year. It was my last game as an undergrad and it was so amazing to experience it with a Husky win alongside dancing with my sister. After the game, I went down to stand with the rest of the trumpets and played with them for the last time as an undergrad. It was such a sweet moment that I’ll never forget.
This Fall (2020) I am attending University of Western States to get a Doctor of Chiropractic degree! I’m excited for what the next 12 quarters will bring! UW has prepared me for this moment and I can’t wait to bring back and help people in the UW community to get back to their healthy lives!
