Building Hours
Meany Hall is open and unlocked from 8am - 6pm, Monday-Friday (when the University is in session). Otherwise, an active, authorized UW Husky Card is required to access the building. Learn more about Husky Card access to Meany Hall here.
Entrances to Meany Hall (Studios & Offices)
The Department of Dance offices and studios are located on the Upper Level (UL) floor of Meany Hall. There are two public entrances.
- Red Square Entrance: Off Red Square just west of Gerberding Hall. Enter at the door farthest West. Go up the stairs to the Upper Level of Meany Hall to get to the Department offices and studios, or downstairs to get to the locker rooms and graduate student offices.
- Accessible Entrance: Just off 15th Avenue NE near the West Campus Gatehouse. This is the Lower Level (LL) entrance and the location of the Dance Department locker rooms and graduate student offices. As part of building security efforts, this entrance requires an active Husky Card at all times. If you do not have a Husky Card (i.e., visitors) and you need the accessible entrance, please contact our main office prior to your visit for assistance.

Tours & Informational Sessions
Due to our small staff, appointments are necessary for tours and/or informational sessions. If you are dropping by it is possible that our advisor may be available to meet with you, but please do not count on drop-in sessions. Depending on experience and available classes, the advisor may be able to arrange for prospective students to watch or participate in a class.
